Hi, just curious if anyone can provide a very brief overview of what these 3 job types are about: Workunits that start with...

Azurin is a small copper-containing protein found in bacteria where it's involved in electron transport processes. Jobs starting with rb_ are indeed robetta jobs. The first two numbers are the month and day of the submitted job: the third indicates its identifier in the robetta queue. You can look up the details of each individual job at http://robetta.bakerlab.org/queue.jsp . No idea about zibochen |

I would guess the middle one is related to robetta - still not sure what robetta is but would guess its a dev branch/R&D/beta branch of the rosetta software? Expanding on svincent's answer, Robetta was a powerful computer in the bakerlab using the Rosetta software to work on non-commercial projects submitted by scientists around the world. Some time ago the Robetta work queue was linked to BOINC so that tasks can be sent to either bakerlab's internal computer systems or to Rosetta@home participants. svincent's link doesn't work for me, so you may want to try just http://robetta.bakerlab.org/ instead. Zibo Chen appears to be the name of a scientist working in bio-molecular design. |

zibochen is designing helical bundles that specifically interact with one another. Once the level of specificity is as good as that of DNA he can then try to put them together and make larger, more complex protein-based assemblies. For example, a nano smiley face made of protein =) I would guess the middle one is related to robetta - still not sure what robetta is but would guess its a dev branch/R&D/beta branch of the rosetta software? |
