Howdy! I'm already running the SETI with boinc and have just joined the ROSETTA project. Do I need to reload the boinc software? I have not yet received a work unit for the protein folding project; what do I need to do? Thanks! Aloha, Charles C. Whittle napau@hotmail.com |

Howdy! If you allowing rosetta getting new work boinc is waiting for because seti had enough WUs to crunch (EDF Mode--> earliest deadline first). You dont need to do anything all is working alone ;) |

Hello: If I understand you correctly, when one of the SETI work units gets finished, a ROSETTA work unit will be sent to my computer. Is that right? Aloha, Charles C. Whittle |

Hello: Its depending on your preferences (Cache). Sometimes boinc is crunching all away before getting new work. |

When you say Joined, did you 'attach' or just register? Try hitting the Update Button (In Windows, -> Boinc Manager -> Projects Tab, select the Rosetta@home line, click on 'update' button) Team mauisun.org |

Not always. Ive registered quite a few boxes with Rosetta, most got work straight away, some didn't. I don't know why. If you don't get work after a manual update, look at the messages tab. If it is saying no work from project, retry in 4min 1sec then leave it for an hour or so - it should pick up work. Last resort is to detach & re-attach. Do this if either the messages tab does not show repeated requests for work, or if you still don't get any after an hour or so. Good luck & I look forward to seeing credit by your name in a day or so. River~~ |
