I currently have a workunit with myoglobin in its name. Since myoglobin contains iron, I decided it is time to start a thread on iron-binding proteins. First, several on myoglobin: Myoglobin - Bing Video http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=myoglobin&docid=926288052908&FORM=VIRE5 Myoglobin - Definition of myoglobin at YourDictionary.com http://www.yourdictionary.com/myoglobin Myoglobin - definition of myoglobin by the Free Online Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia http://www.thefreedictionary.com/myoglobin Myoglobin - From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myoglobin Myoglobin (protein) -- Britannica Online Encyclopedia http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/400480/myoglobin Myoglobin: Definition from Answers.com http://www.answers.com/topic/myoglobin Myoglobin definition of myoglobin in the Free Online Encyclopedia http://encyclopedia2.thefreedictionary.com/myoglobin Myoglobin: The Test http://www.labtestsonline.org/understanding/analytes/myoglobin/test.html |

I finally prepared my list of iron-binding protein links to upload, but do not have enough time tonight to upload much of it. A rather long list, but with few items very relevant to the research directions Rosetta@home has announced. One of the more important is it's relevance to Parkinson's disease: Parkinson's disease: Iron accumulation to the point of demise http://www.physorg.com/news169899879.html Appears to be based on a research report, but rewritten for the public. |
