I currently have a workunit with myoglobin in its name. Since myoglobin contains iron, I decided it is time to start a thread on iron-binding proteins. First, several on myoglobin:

I finally prepared my list of iron-binding protein links to upload, but do not have enough time tonight to upload much of it. A rather long list, but with few items very relevant to the research directions Rosetta@home has announced.

One of the more important is it's relevance to Parkinson's disease:

Parkinson's disease: Iron accumulation to the point of demise

Appears to be based on a research report, but rewritten for the public.
