Just forget it, I am out of here. That wrong opinion is not related in any way to Rosetta, so perhaps you might consider reconsidering because your action is against the project which is innocent. Just imho. Regards, Bob P. |

Brand new protein folding project, with this group having used Rosetta it would appear. Hi protein folders, This new project looks interesting, a lot of background information, and a qualified team of scientists. However, I hope Rosetta will not lose to many participants to POEM@HOME. Happy crunching, Path7. |

so where are the advantages to rosetta? It is a protein project too, but there are a lot of differences between both projects. Please look at this detailed posting from the project scientist and developer : http://boinc.fzk.de/poem/forum_thread.php?id=4&nowrap=true#29 I think it is a scientifical very interesting project, too. So I would crunch it, too. |

well it seams they're just a german bunch of people that imitate rosetta There are numerous protein folding projects. They tend to use different approaches to solving the same problem. This is to be applauded not criticised. Placing all of your eggs into one basket is always risky. True, Rosetta may one day be perfect, but it could also be that a different approach might get there faster and more efficiently. Open minds people. so where are the advantages to rosetta? Don't know until they try! Wave upon wave of demented avengers march cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream. |
