Firstly, I have checked the FAQs with no results. I recently set up Rosetta on a machine that also has Einstein@home installed although I have no E@H work left as their project is down. Could my settings in E@H be effecting my Rosetta ability to supply the correct number of WUs for the machine? I made no adjustments to the preferences and my initial settings and began with 3 WU for a 2.2 64bit Athlon. The final job is 80% completed and I can't get additional work. I am on dialup and none of my machines are networkded. I have suspended E@H so Rosetta should be the only program active. I would like to run Rosetta if I could get it to work. Below are my general settings followed by Rosetta.

work while computer is running on batteries?
(matters only for portable computers) no
Do work while computer is in use? yes
Do work only between the hours of (no restriction)
Leave applications in memory while suspended?
(suspended applications will consume swap space if 'yes') no
Switch between applications every
(recommended: 60 minutes) 60 minutes
On multiprocessors, use at most 1 processors
Use at most 100 percent of CPU time
Disk and memory usage
Use no more than 8 GB disk space
Leave at least
(Values smaller than 0.001 are ignored) 0.1 GB disk space free
Use no more than 25% of total disk space
Write to disk at most every 60 seconds
Use no more than 25% of total virtual memory
Network usage
Connect to network about every
(determines size of work cache; maximum 10 days) 8 days
Confirm before connecting to Internet?
(matters only if you have a modem, ISDN or VPN connection) yes
Disconnect when done?
(matters only if you have a modem, ISDN or VPN connection) no
Maximum download rate: 56 KB/s
Maximum upload rate: 56 KB/s
Use network only between the hours of
Enforced by versions 4.46 and greater (no restriction)
Skip image file verification?
Check this ONLY if your Internet provider modifies image files (UMTS does this, for example).
Skipping verification reduces the security of BOINC. no

The key setting is the "Connect to network every...". I see you have 8-10 days set for all of your locations. Assuming you have updated your host with these settings, it believes it has at least 8 days of work already. If you disagree, it is probably due to BOINC's expectation for the amount of time your computer will be powered on in those 8-10 days. If it thinks your computer is generally on for 3 hours per day, then 8 days of work would be 24hours.

For now, just suspend the number of work units that you would like to download. Then update to the project. This should download more work. Then resume the tasks you held.

Since you are on dialup, you should set the Rosetta preference to have a long runtime as well. It will save on the number of internet connections needed to keep your machine busy.
