-- I just checked one of my XEON MP machines and saw a bunch of aborted downloads. All the errors occurred with .map files... What could be up with this???. I am hoping it is just a hiccup in my SQUID cache and not a program bug... BTW the machine is an IBM xServer 440 running CentOS 4.4.. (built from RedHat EL Sources)... 2006-10-10 23:29:12 [rosetta@home] Started download of file 1NCA.ppk.pdb 2006-10-10 23:29:12 [rosetta@home] Checksum or signature error for 1NCA.map 2006-10-10 23:29:12 [rosetta@home] Checksum or signature error for 1NCA.map 2006-10-10 23:29:13 [rosetta@home] Unrecoverable error for result DOC_1NCA_U_pert_bench_1263_194_0 (WU download error: couldn't get input files: <file_xfer_error> <file_name>1NCA.map</file_name> <error_code>-200</error_code> </file_xfer_error> ) 2006-10-10 23:29:13 [rosetta@home] Unrecoverable error for result DOC_1NCA_U_pert_bench_1263_194_0 (WU download error: couldn't get input files: <file_xfer_error> <file_name>1NCA.map</file_name> <error_code>-200</error_code> </file_xfer_error> ) Looking for a team ??? I observed the same. Tonight between 2:29 - 4:02 UTC, 10 Rosetta 5.25's results were aborted because of "Checksum or signature error for nXXX.map". All of them were some DOC_nXXX_U_pert_bench_1263_nnn_n results. And all "sparring partners" of my host got the same error, so it is definitely not related to you. During this and afterwards, two WUs (but of different type - nXXXX_BOINC_ABRELAX_SAVE_ALL_OUT_truess__1259_nnnn_0) were downloaded correctly, so I ruled out some network problems too. I've just read, on the home page, that "Oct 10, 2006 - Rosetta@home has been updated to version 5.32". Maybe something went wrong during the works on the Rosetta system and wrong checksums were generated for the *.map files? Peter |

If you look in the main message board area (where most the talk goes on, noone really reads in here regularly, but they've not closed this area or merged them yet. Anyways, it seem s to be an error as mentioned with the current batch of workunits, it should get fixed today (or they'll stop them) hopefully Team mauisun.org |

If you look in the main message board area (where most the talk goes on, noone really reads in here regularly, but they've not closed this area or merged them yet. Sure I do (and did later), but at the time netwraith (and later me) wrote about his issue, everyone in the main area was probably still asleep :-) As I noticed this problem myself, I first looked for such messages and found only this thread in Q&P area. I did not want to create new thread, but wanted to assure netwraith that he is probably fine. OK, to make the long story short, now it is a known issue talked about here. Peter |
