Keep in mind that there's less credit awarded now because optimized clients don't get what they claim anymore. That can cut awarded credit for those with an optimized client by 50% easily. |

I converted the 500.000 old credits into new one (~160.000) which is a bit under 2 TFLOPS. I agree that the conversion of points in TFLOPS is arbitrarily but that is the formula used in BOINC: Points/100.000 = TFLOPS. In fact nobody knows how much TFLOPS we are really doing but as a first guess it's okay. |

since nobody knows how many tflops we put out how can we find out.???..it would be nice to know if its not a big problem ...the flops look the same or lower than 6 months ago with hundreds more signed on to the project....whats up?? |

On another note, has anyone noticed that the number of new members has been climbing much faster each day for the last several days or so now? I have, and I would guess it has been maybe 30% more than average lately. I know that the Predictor@home effect has been mentioned, but that was ten days ago! Hmmmm. Is this a prolonged Predictor effect, or has something else happened to keep a steady stream of new members coming? (Click for detailed stats) |

Some of us quit using optimized clients and those who didn't are now being credited with realistic scores. The TFLOPS were being calculated using total credits. For some members, credits were about 3 times normal. |

Under the new system, the P4s are getting 1.6-2.0 times what they used to; which was one of the complaints about the old system. So there's multiple effects at work keeping the credit/day about the same. |

Only a few hundreds left not worth mentioning and as Gerry pointed out since the introduction of the new credit system more than usual sign up daily. In the long term this project will benefit in terms of computer power from the new credit system. |

The credits chart (credit per day) represents Teraflops if you just divide the number by 100,000. I think you were asking for WUs completed, but since one user may crunch a WU for only an hour, and another may crunch for 24hrs, the credits is a better measure of project power. 150TFLOPS is the goal! nice to see the tflops going up Probably temporary- SETI is out of work. Nemesis n. A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent. |
