Two weeks ago I posted on rosetta that "VirtualBox jobs require hardware acceleration support. Your processor does not support the required instruction set." But nothing has changed in the machine! Virtualization is on! And it does not download tasks! ???[/img][/b] |

As I see in VB, it uses 64bit Debian as guest OS. In such case you need to be able supporting this technology. Accordingly to https://docs.oracle.com/en/virtualization/virtualbox/6.0/admin/hwvirt.html: Intel and AMD processors have support for so-called hardware virtualization. This means that these processors can help Oracle VM VirtualBox to intercept potentially dangerous operations that a guest operating system may be attempting and also makes it easier to present virtual hardware to a virtual machine. These hardware features differ between Intel and AMD processors. Intel named its technology VT-x, AMD calls theirs AMD-V. The Intel and AMD support for virtualization is very different in detail, but not very different in principle. ... Oracle VM VirtualBox's 64-bit guest and multiprocessing (SMP) support both require hardware virtualization to be enabled. This is not much of a limitation since the vast majority of 64-bit and multicore CPUs ship with hardware virtualization. The exceptions to this rule are some legacy Intel and AMD CPUs. This feature can be turned on in BIOS/EFI if CPU supports it (I had to reinstall my windows after that, btw : ) Without the feature VB will be able to install 32Bit OS only. This may be root cause of the issue. You can try to install any 64bit OS in VB just for verification. VB will notify you if this not possible. |

And your need to make sure on your Computer page in your account that it is set to accept Python Tasks. Grant Darwin NT |
