Hello! I'm completly new to BOINC and Rosetta@Home, so I may ask some noob questions. Sorry for that. Before I signed to the project I read what the project is doing, and why CPU power of my laptop may be useful for scientists. I like the whole idea, so I signed in. In last couple of days I'm getting work units like this: foldit_2001822_0005_fold_SAVE_ALL_OUT_886157_1197 Is this somehow related to Foldit game? Are we processing results? Preparing some models? It's just interesting to me. I don't need detailed explaination, just brief (even one liner) description would be enough. |

Sometimes we processing results from Foldit to validate these. |

These tasks are usually testing promising player designs in Foldit. Before going to the expense of creating the protein and determining its structure, they are run through Rosetta first to see if they are likely to fold/dock in the way predicted. |
