Designing Proteins From Scratch

While companies like Amgen now design proteins by taking pages from nature’s playbook, the Institute for Protein Design is essentially writing its own plays. Amgen and IPD have launched a unique collaboration to apply this new paradigm to biotech research.

Very interesting, but I am not sure how much of that applies to us. Will they be sending that type of design work here?
We don't really have an overview of how much work is in the pipeline, or where it comes from.

Should we be building more machines? If they are not needed, it just adds to the power load.

Thats a good news. I think ipd should share more encouraging news like that. And it would be better to share more research info about the projects if they want to increase active members. Rosetta project is a little silent and that cause a decrease in active members.

Probably yes. In R@H we not only crunch simulations for research, but it's used also to "validate" Rosetta code, that is used in other research center/universities/companies.

We don't really have an overview of how much work is in the pipeline, or where it comes from.

Yeap, that's not clear. For example, some months ago, they started to introduce AI elements in simulations.
But we don't know if it will come to R@H

I just found their ipd account on twitter. I used to follow rosetta@home account which is on the front page and it’s last post is in 2017.

They should update the twitter account on their page.
