There isn't benefit from using 64-bit software? I think it would, I know that the OS calls from 32-bit code to 64-bit in Windows at least is very efficient at 95-99% is not optimal in this intensive computation environment IMO, also taking 64-bit instead of 32 for processing should be 2x faster or efficient and CPU optimizations should improve it a bit more. Is there a thread about this I can find anything about it. Also there is an adaptation process to transition from 32 to 64-bit code, because of the optimizations and debugging and other issues that aren't obvious now. Many software that don't benefit from the speed have already transitioned to 64-bit already for these reasons |
