From Predictioncenter site:
"CASP12 will be held in May-August 2016."

This the roadmap
May 1, 2016 - Release of the first CASP12 prediction target.
July 15, 2016 - Last date for releasing regular prediction targets.
July 31, 2016 - End of the regular prediction season.
August 18, 2016 - End of the refinement and data-assisted prediction season.
July/August 2016 - Early bird registration for the December predictors' meeting.
September 2016 - Collection of abstracts describing the methods tested in CASP12.
October/November 2016 - Invitation of groups with the most accurate predictions and interesting methods to give talks at the meeting.
Novermber 2016 - Publishing of the program of the meeting.
December 2016 - Predictors' meeting to discuss the results of the experiment.

I hope that, after CASP, admins consider seriously a server update

This seems to be a rather safe version of Apache. Apart from that, don't waste all those keystrokes in vain.

David E. Kim seems to be gone, too...he is not listed anymore on the staff page.

This seems to be a rather safe version of Apache.

If they don't want to pass to 2.4.x version of Apache, at least the latest version of 2.2 (it's 2.2.31)

Apart from that, don't waste all those keystrokes in vain.

Why? An updated server is a bad idea?

Because this has been brought up before a gazillion times. There is no response to that query.

An interim solution will be to temporarily upgrade our database server and thanks to our sys admins, we already have a machine ready to go that has plenty of disk space and double the memory. The upgrade will require a day of downtime which is planned to happen early this week.

The long term solution will be a complete system hardware upgrade to all our servers. The BOINC server software will also be upgraded. We are in the process of ordering these machines and hope to have them running within the next few months.

Any news???

Our temporary DB server is being used/tested on Ralph. I haven't heard from our sys admin about the next generation hardware but I'll ask for an update.

With Charity Engine (which I think is for-profit) now using their volunteer clients for commercial interests which is understandable, the load on our servers is significantly reduced but we are still planning to upgrade of course for hopefully another boost in hosts in the future.

I believe Charity Engine takes in revenue from paying customers, and then allocates a third to prizes to participants, a third to charities, and a third to run the servers and admin and promote the system.

Charity Engine "where does money go"

The server will not be upgraded anytime soon as far as I know. We are currently gearing up for the next CASP.

CASP has gone.
Summer is here.
Admins are absent.
Server update/upgrade seems to be like a "midsummer night's dream".

I've been pretty busy working on the new server and trying to update the Rosetta application. There has been a lot of changes to the Rosetta code that need to be addressed for the various platforms, mainly Windows. We hope to do the transition this month. The current server is operating as usual without any issues.
