From F-Secure Release 1 manual

How to disable parental control and web traffic scanning if you experience network connection problems (for Windows Vista or Windows 7)
In this release, parental control and web traffic scanning using Windows Filtering Platform (WFP) will be installed on Windows Vista or Windows 7.
If you experience problems with your network connection and wish to disable the web traffic scanning in Online Safety, you may do so by following these steps:
1. Open the command prompt window from Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt
2. Change directory by typing 'cd Program FilesF-SecureTechnology PreviewappsOnlineSafetyFSCC'
3. Run command 'instfsccsys.exe --stop'.
4. Run command 'instfsccsys.exe --uninstall'. WFP will then be uninstalled

Isn't that the same as I posted earlier?
Greetings,
TJ.

I just wanted to identify the source of the information, and define WFP. Thanks for posting the solution.

Hi,

Thanks for the tip, but I believe it is outdated: there is no such file. There is only instfsccapi.exe but it doesn't seem to react to any flags. No matter ho I try to disable the FSTP, the behavior sticks.

Next step is to uninstall the program, run uitool a few times, fix winsock and then reinstall the product...

Correct the new version from mid October (version of 2013)is causing other issues, F-Secure is working hard to it. I have some beta's but still don't work. A workaround is to stop the network interceptor for a short time; command : fshoster32.exe -StartPlugin -plugin:NID (in f-secure directory). Don't forget to start it again after uploading/reporting, with command: fshoster32.exe -StartPlugin -plugin:NID. The only problem is that you have to "baby-sit" the pc cause you are not getting new work if no ready work is reported back.

Or you simply dump that crap of your systems and use some antivirus, that does not cause so many issues, there are more than enough of free av-software out there. I'm using MSE or Avast on my systems, no issues at all (I excluded BOINC data directory from scanning, but just as a precaution).

I'm running IS2013 on my Win8 test laptop, no problems so far. Uploads and downloads both have completed without errors. I'll test with my Win7 setup tomorrow. That should reveal a lot.

Whoa, one-liner to disable network interceptor? I believe that would do the trick for me, too, but I've got to test that first. That would second my suspicions about the issue being in some quite fundamental part of the protection system... Oh well, that's for F-Secure to figure out!
Or you simply dump that crap of your systems and use some antivirus, that does not cause so many issues, there are more than enough of free av-software out there.

I have had issues with every anti-virus program so far, and the free ones tend to be more problematic, at least in my case. Currently this is the only headache FSTP is giving to me. I'm banging my head against the wall voluntarily. I joined the F-Secure beta testing team for a reason; to help them improve their products, so using another anti-virus program would benefit no one.

My one-liners are no good.

Hi,

F-Secure released Technology Preview version 75, which "isolated and fixed the problem", as they reported. I cranked DeepGuard to the max, and excluded BOINC temp directory. After updates and a voluntary reboot, BOINC uploaded 22 Rosetta results, and multiple Collatz results, too.

My desktop now works, but I'll still test my laptop (which runs Windows 8).

Hi,

FSTP75 works now properly with BOINC on my Win8 laptop, too.

Yeah!
