I would like to detach from Rosetta. but in my BOINC manager the detach button is greyed out. I have stopped accepting new work and have finished off what work I have d/l'ed. But what else can I do? Should I just leave it like it is? ie: not accepting new work. but leaving all accounts open?

Presumably you have highlighted Rosetta in the list to the right of the options? I just tried and the Detach was available.

Yes I have. While on the "Projects" tab. I highlight Rosetta and I can look at the "commands" available. They are from the top down: Update, Resume, Allow new tasks, Reset project, Detach (greyed out/ non-selectable), and Properties.

BTW I'm running Boinc version 6.10.18

I'm running 6.6.20, so not the same. I see the same set of commands, with Rosetta selected, all options are available. Weird.

clayton, you can take the setting for "no new work"... oh, I see you've already done that. That is why you see "allow new tasks" in your list. Once you have completed and reported all of the tasks you could then "suspend" the project and it won't even check in with the servers each day (I see you've done that already as well, which is why your list shows "resume"). So, at that point it is totally inactive.

I found this thread there pointing out that an Account Manager such as BAM could be how you set up the project, and therefore it should be removed via the account manager.

Otherwise, I can only suggest you mention this on the BOINC message board about the BOINC Manager. They will likely suggest you upgrade your BOINC version.
